Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder characterized by a widespread of pain and tenderness at a light pressure that may occur throughout the body or may radiate throughout the body.
Tender points caused by fibromyalgia can be found through the neck, back, and upper and lower extremities. The associated pain is accompanied with fatigue, sleep, cognitive and/or mood changes.
This chronic disorder most commonly affects women between the ages of 30 to 50, but can affect anyone.
